Labor Day 2009

Union members and their families joined the Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation at the Minnesota State Fair Parade on Labor Day, September 9. More than 100 people marched with the Federation in the daily parade through the fairgrounds.

Wellstone Remembrance Pancake Breakfast

Union members, labor leaders and labor-endorsed political candidates gathered Oct. 25 – just 10 days before the general election – to honor the memory of Sen. Paul Wellstone, share a pancake breakfast and knock on fellow members' doors in St. Paul.

Homes for Our Troops

Twin Cities union members, apprentices and carpentry students volunteered their labor to build a home specifically adapted to the needs of Sgt. Marcus Kuboy, an Iraq War veteran who was severely wounded by an improvised explosive device outside Fallujah in 2007.

Labor History Day in St. Paul

History Day Minnesota participants whose projects considered labor-related subjects presented their work to the public and delegates of the St. Paul Regional Labor Federation on May 14 at the St. Paul Labor and Professional Centre. The program was a part of The Friends of the St. Paul Public Library's annual "Untold Stories Labor History Series." Before the program, Mayor Chris Coleman declared May 14 Labor History Day in St. Paul, celebrating the 10th anniversary of "Untold Stories."
