The Union Advocate is the official publication of the Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation, AFL-CIO. It is mailed to members of unions affiliated with the Regional Labor Federation, and is supported through per capita payments that come from members’ dues.

The Advocate has been published continuously since 1897. It long has been recognized as one of the leading labor publications of its kind. The Advocate is a member publication of the International Labor Communications Association.

The Advocate is published 21 times a year and mailed to members’ houses on designated Fridays. Remaining publication dates in 2008 are Aug. 2, Aug. 22, Aug. 29, Sept. 12, Oct. 3, Oct. 24, Nov. 14, Dec. 5 and Dec. 19.

Subscriptions to the Advocate are $15 and available on a calendar-year basis (January through December only). For subscription information, call 651-222-3787.

The Advocate accepts advertising that meets the standards set forth in the Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation Constitution. Typically, advertisers include union-friendly businesses, partner organizations and labor-endorsed political candidates. The Advocate offers a variety of advertising options, packages and rates.
